The World Service Fund provides the basic financial resources for the core ministries of the United Methodist Church. It funds the General Boards and Agencies of the Church, and underwrites our Christian mission around the world.

It empowers our evangelism efforts, stimulates church growth, expands Bible studies, supports local church programs, enriches spiritual commitment and provides the means to equip and nurture our lay leaders. It supports certification programs for chaplains, Christian educators, communicators and musicians. It supports of variety of ethnic ministries, deaf ministries and programs for older adults. It supports the Igniting Ministry Media Campaign (Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors).
