This fund finances general church activities that are administrative in nature.

It pays the basic costs of General Conference, provides for the expenses of the Judicial Council and covers the administrative functions of the General Council on Finance and Administration as well as the operating costs for the General Commission on Archives and History and maintenance of historic shrines, landmarks and sites. In the process, it compiles and publishes denominational statistics, maintains denominational records, safeguards the denomination’s legal interests and rights, and manages the national United Methodist Foundation.
