District Apportionments

In addition to conference, general church and jurisdictional church apportionments, each district apportions monies to pay for mission, ministry, program and administration within the local district. The District Work Fund is the primary apportionment that provides funding for the operations of each local district. Monies from this apportionment pay for the district parsonage and district office, salary and benefits of the district administrative assistant and sometimes other staff, office supplies, office utilities, office equipment, etc.

The District Mission and Church Extension Fund is an apportionment that helps fund the cost of starting new churches in local districts. The conference and each district work together to start new churches. This apportionment helps provide monies to buy land for new churches and to help pay for other related property and missional matters in local districts.
