Founded in 1992, Africa University is the only United Methodist degree-granting university on the continent of Africa and the only private university in Zimbabwe. Its mission is to provide quality higher education, nurture students in Christian values and train future leaders.

The campus, a 1,545-acre site donated by the Zimbabwe Annual Conference, serves students from 20 African nations. It offers degrees in agriculture and natural resources, management and administration, theology and education.

The Africa University Fund supports university operations, maintenance, faculty and staff salaries and benefits.
